Basic rules;
The Role of Moderators
Moderators on this forum spot problems and notify a rule breaker that they are breaking a rule. Their job is to give out warnings and spot potential problems before they escalate out of control. If a member has a problem and one of the admins is not online a moderator is more than capable of helping you with your problem. Moderators cannot ban people without the permission of the admin, but they can report a member breaking one of these rules.

The Role of Admin
When you feel that a moderator won’t be able to help you with your problem feel free to PM one of the admins and ask for help. Do not do this because a member of the staff is enforcing the rules of the site; that’s their job. You may report a staff member if you feel they are allowing personal opinions to cloud their judgment. Staff members are encouraged to work as a team about everything, but there are some powers that are only appropriate for an admin to do. An admin is the only person on the staff who can make the final decision about hiring new moderators and banning members.

I understand how long and tedious this was to read, as I was the one who wrote all this crap. However, it's important to gameplay to have them all read, so thanks for getting down here. :]
If you just skipped all that and are reading this...what the hell? Now you won't know anything. Page up! Page up!
Basic rules;
- You must be 15 (or older, obviously) to join this site. There are no if's, and's or but's. If you are not yet 15 and you join, if I find out, you will leave.
- Bicker/fight/cause trouble and I'll kick your ass with a smile on my face. Seriously, we try to avoid drama as much as possible, so if you have an issue, please bring it to a staff member.
- Which brings up the next point. Cursing is most definitely allowed. PTA does not, however, allow sexual content as that is a violation of Proboards TOS.
- The character limit is set at 8 for now. Seriously, that's enough characters for anyone. If you've been here for awhile and want more than 8 characters, PM an admin and we'll do our best to talk you out of it.
- Proficiency in Standard English is required. [Proficiency = the state of being well-advanced or competent; skill; expertness.] Decent spelling and vocabulary and a good understanding of grammar make things easier for everyone. Proof-read before you hit submit! Use a spell-checker!
- Role play is written in the third person, past tense for clarity.
- Parelthon has what is called a 500 character minimum. This means anything under 500 characters (letters, numbers, punctuation, symbols, etc) can not be submitted for a post. Mind you this is not 500 words - just characters. It is not nearly as scary as it sounds, and this character minimum is merely here to help ensure a quality role-play. One-lined posts are not tolerated and cheating character minimums is also not tolerated. This, of course, excludes OOC posts. There are no regulations for posts made in OOC boards.
- Advertising is only cool in the Advertising board. Nowhere else.
- Please don't start posting until someone moves your application to the bio section. I know you're excited, but relax! There are 10 zillion super-active staff members. We'll get to it.
- A character's personality/circumstances/past may be based on someone from literature/tv/art/history, but they may not be the same character. Seriously, be creative.
- Limit signature sizes to a max of 250 pixels high and 450 pixels wide. Remember, your signature is not a photo gallery or a lyrics board; it is merely a way for people to recognize your posts. Also, limit avatar sizes to 225 high and 200 pixels wide.
- Lastly, and most importantly: don't be a dick.
